About OLA
Officer Leadership Academy is a leadership development program for select officers beginning their new roles. The training is grounded in developing personal leadership skills and specific officer training you will take back to your chapter.
Pre-Learning
- Officer retreat: Prior to attending OLA, complete your officer retreat to set goals as a new EC. The agenda and materials will be updated and posted when available.
- Officer training: Regardless of whether you are attending OLA, complete pre-learning online training to understand the basics of your role. Trainings will be posted when available.
Roommates
Chapter officers will share a room with a sister from their chapter. If an odd number of attendees come from your chapter, you may be in a room of three together.
Attendance
If for any reason you have a conflict or cannot attend OLA, either in person or the virtual experience, you must inform your Vice President Collegiate/Extension Director and receive approval to miss in advance. You can connect with your VPC/ED by working directly with your Collegiate National Officer. Please contact them as soon as possible.
Travel
Participants traveling 300 miles or more will fly to OLA. If the distance is less than 300 miles, participants will drive. 300 miles is on average five hours of driving. This information is included in the registration form.
- ZTA will reimburse the driver only for mileage.
- If you are flying, you will receive an email from Navan to book your flight and ZTA will pay. A deadline to book your flight is included on the OLA registration pages. ZTA will coordinate transportation for attendees from the airport to the hotel. For November OLA, ZTA will coordinate transportation from the hotel to IO and back.
Packing
As you prepare for your trip, review the What to Pack page to plan your outfits.
